I have a question on the plant tiger lily?

We bought a house last summer and we are trying to do different things with the yard this year. The people who had this house before us must have really liked tiger lily%26#039;s because there are patches everywhere. They spread so fast and the roots are so long we can%26#039;t get them all out of the ground. There are hundreds of these plants so we are wondering the best way to kill them and make sure they don%26#039;t come back. If we have to dig them all up it could take many days and they grow back so fast I don%26#039;t know if we could do it fast enough. Any Suggestions would be great. I also have 2 small children so I don%26#039;t want anything that could harm them. Thank you in advance

Sell the on EBay, you will have enough money to have your garden professionally landscaped. Perhaps hire a professional to come in a plow them up, and be sure they rake them up as well. Offer them for postage on a forum. They will go fast, do not mail them out without the postage first. I learned. Don%26#039;t expect a thank you . Hoyakins
Reply:Roundup will kill anything it touches in the garden. Spray it on a calm day or you will end up with patches of dead lawn where the droplets fall. You may have to make several applications but it%26#039;s worth it in the end. Keep the kids off the area you sprayed, their little footprints will be in the lawn if they get it on their feet.
